BLOND:ISH launches a brand new label offshoot of her hugely successful ABRACADABRA imprint, and tees up a collaboration with Angel Dior and Malóne as the inaugural release on ABRA X.

And it’s on ‘AIO’ where three artists all at the top of their game smash out a bona fide club hit that’s already been a peak track in the DJ sets of BLOND:ISH and Malóne over the last few months.

Angel Dior is best known for creating hit songs in the Dominican dembow genre, such as ‘Piropi’, ‘Ojos Ferrari’ and ‘Tamo En Nota’, and this new version of his already huge ‘A I O’ single (48 million views on YouTube alone) is transformed into a gargantuan four to the floor roller.

Malóne elaborates; “Being a long-time artist and contributor to Abracadabra with a couple of collaborations together, I always like to send initial ideas over to Blond:ish first. I was very excited to bring this specific idea to her since I had always been such a huge fan of Dembow, and from the moment I heard AIO for the first time, I knew that it could be special and flipped properly into a big big groover for the festivals & larger dance floors this summer. We have been working on this one for a while and just very excited for it to come out with the launch of ABRA X!”

A huge music star in the Dominican Republic, Angel Dior adds “having my songs supported across the world in a whole new way in electronic music has been very cool to see”.

And for Blond:ish it was an influence that was felt right from her doorstep; “we live in Miami and the denbow culture is all around, when we came across Angel Dior’s vibes we were like whaaaaaaaaa is this? And flipped it into a groover we can play on big dancefloors”.

ABRA X has been conceived by BLOND:ISH as a new label vehicle for more techier and trackier sounds and will sit alongside the more Afro House and melodic leanings of the successful ABRACADABRA label. Abracadabra is the yin to Abra X’s yang!
