To be inspired by something, or somewhere, or someone, without actually being there, meeting them, well, that’s the stuff of dreams and aspirations, or perhaps a transcendental parallel universe at play? DSF’s new single for ABRACADABRA was born out of this vision.

“Burning Lies was inspired by the Burning Man. I’ve never been there. Every year I spend countless hours watching videos, pictures from this amazing event. So, one of my dreams is to attend. It’s very strange to watch videos with DJs playing my tracks and people to really party with my music. I say…oh man…why am I not there to play it myself or even to be on the dancefloor and dance with the crowd? So, I said If I had the chance to play there and drop just one track of my own what would be? That was the basic idea to start working Burning Lies. In the beginning, the track was instrumental but something still missing. I had some vocals and put them on top but after 5 min because I loved the built up of the music. And that’s it. Burning Lies has just born.”

Accompanying track ‘A Village Called Zooberi’, is an ode to DSF’s home, just outside of Athens, where the sea gently licks the shore, and dreamlike music is conjured up by our protagonist.
